In our group project assignment, me and my group decided to research an opera singer named Joseph O’Mara. We got in contact with each other using Instagram and we planned how we were going to split up our research on there. We agreed on each having our own headings where we individually must research on, and we proofread what we each had so we could add anything if there needed to be anything added. I can say that our whole group contributed evenly as no one had much more extensive work than the others. As for my part of the group assignment I focused on researching the success stories of Joseph O’Mara and his amazing feats through the starting and rising success of his career. I mainly used http://www.historicaltenors.net/english/omara.html for my research as it had a lot of information on the opera singer which was greatly beneficial to the making of my section of the article.
Personally, I felt that the group project assignment was doable and understandable especially with a group that each effectively played a part and contributed fairly with the project. I would say the most difficult part was looking for information that would not clash with something maybe another person from our group has already written down, but it was not that rigorous of a task.
I learned that teamwork is highly effective when you have proper communication in your group as it helps build understanding of what you are going to plan to do in your group. If it had not been for the efforts that was given by everyone in our group, I would not think our project would be as satisfying as it was.
